You may have found, in the course of studying these web pages, that the concepts presented have been well supported by Scripture. And yet very few denominations teach this understanding of the prophecies. So, how has it come that differing views of prophecy have come about?
You will find it interesting that there have been at least three major periods when dramatic changes occurred within the Christian Church's understanding of the topics we have studied:
- 100 - 600 A.D. - major changes in theology resulting from the paganization of Christianity.
- 1500s & 1600s - partial restoration as a result of the Reformation.
- 1850s - 1900s - widespread acceptance of counter-Reformation ideas.
