Who is the Little Horn?

In our studies of Daniel 7 and 8 we have noted that the little horn falls within the Roman/European timeframe but have not clearly identified who this power is. We need to look closely for the following reasons:

• Both Daniel 7 and 8 place a great deal of emphasis upon this power. Clearly it is important that we understand it.
  
• The characteristics of the little horn appear in numerous places including Dan 7, 8, 11 and even in Revelation. If we are going to know how to interpret later lessons we need to become clear on who this power is.
  
• The little horn power extends until the Second Coming. ^{(Dan 7:24-27)} This timeframe includes the time that we are now living. This little horn power exists today!
